How to Play

Use WASD to control the player, and mouse to look around.

Press Shift to run!

Press E to interact with something (text will pop up if its interactable)

Overview

Your ship gets hit by a mysterious ancient weapon. You play as the only crewmember on the engineering deck, the lower decks and bowels of the ship. Navigate spooky corridors and rooms while trying to get to the bottom of what this weapon has done to your ship, and try to save the rest of the crew.

Play through found footage of the impacts of this super-weapon and see the consequences of its attack. Will you survive and save your crew?

Behind The Scenes

This is Quanta Studios 8th game jam! And this was a special one - as we did a few days of this one in-person!

We made the majority of the audio for this game ourselves, including all the voices lines - but we did use some pre-made sounds to help us out.

Update

- 09/10/2024: Uploaded a version that was built late last night (before the jam deadline)

- 09/10/2024: Uploaded a version that fixed a critical movement bug that made the character uncontrollable on slow machines. This was submitted after the jam deadline and contained no other changes. We have left the old one submitted before the deadline 'Black Box OLD.zip', incase this bugfix is not accepted. The 'Black Box LATEST.zip' contains the character fix and nothing else.
